- Reduce runoff by aerating lawn areas and replacing impervious surfaces, such as paved driveways, with greener alternatives.
- Avoid making changes to your waterfront that could harm fragile wildlife habitats.
- Be aware that boat wakes contribute to the breakdown of the shoreline and continual wave action may prevent resident loons from making a successful nest and having young.
