Fairlee Family Fun Day – Past Event
Fairlee Family Fun Day is held on
the second Saturday in July. It was first held in 2008 at the Fairlee Town Beach on Lake Morey in the tradition of Fairlee Day
in the early 1900’s. Now an annual event, Fairlee Family Fun Day is co-sponsored by the LMPA and the Fairlee Recreation Council.
There are many opportunities for old-fashioned fun including relays, swim contests, water events, crafts, face painting,
water balloon tossing, watermelon seed spitting and even a rubber duck race! Participants are treated to a free bar-b-que
and ice cream social as part of the festivities. Please let us know if you have any suggestions for improving this event –
we welcome all ideas and feedback!
The LMPA Regatta is held every summer on the third Saturday in July. Organized as an opportunity for novice and experienced sailors,
intrepid participants from Aloha and Lanakila camps, lake residents and visitors all gather in Breezy Bay at 10 AM and enjoy a course set for enjoyment
and tactical skills alike! It is always a beautiful sight to see the colorful sunfish sails amidst the white billows of camp boats.
The LMPA Golf Tournament is organized every summer. This outing is held at the Lake Morey Country Club and organized as a 2-person team, 9-hole, best ball event.
Information about registration is posted in the weeks leading up to the event. The Golf Tourament is part of the Annual Meeting Day events and is held on the Second Saturday in July.
